Why Trainers Hire Trainers?

So here you go, after a little search, and a realization that to find a good trainer is hard, I hired one. I realized, that there’s no way, I will know that person is suitable for me unless I trust & try. That is exactly what I did. After only two workouts I can tell I’m feeling great! The workouts haven’t disappointed me yet. Actually, it is other way around. I find out, that I can perform better than I think. I learned and recognized my weaknesses. Actually, I not only aknowledged my weak spots, but I started working on improving them! I know it’s great! :) To answer the question why, I must say, I am no different than you. I need a trainer:

  • To Eliminate an Amount of Junk Training I’ve been doing. Let’s admit it, having a decent body is not enough. There’s more to workouts than just burning calories.
  • To Design my Purposeful Workouts. After spending 15-40 hours a week at the gym training other people, and creating their routines, the last thing on my mind is my workout. If I decide to have a workout, it usually consumes maximum of 15 minutes. And I do not feel it is enough to get better.

  • To Push me Out of My Comfort Zone for a Progress. As I said, I know I’m performing much better than I would on my own. It’s just how it works.
  • To Watch My Exercise Technique. That’s an important element. It feels different than it looks. It’s great idea to make sure, that exercises that are being performed are done with a proper form, and you are not developing any imbalances in your body.
  • Personal Trainer Cares about My Goals & Progress. I love this point. Honestly, you feel you have a team, and you are not alone in a fight towards your goal. It’s also great, because I know, when I reach my goal, there will be someone as happy as me celebrating it. It takes a lot of work, and thought to get there, but when you are not alone it is easier.
  • To add to the previous point, Personal Trainer keeps me motivated and accountable. I could skip the workouts, or I could chose to workout on an easy end, but just the respect I feel for that person, and her work, I cannot skip or “cheat” my workout.
  • And finally, as a trainer, I’m learning the feelings my clients go through, when training with me. I’m learning new and different approaches to training.

I have to say – trust and try. To have a trainer is the best investment in yourself you can make. And if a person is not a right match for you, do not worry, there’s plenty qualified and experienced trainers out there, and you will find yours.
