All of us have different stories about our exercise reasons and patterns. As a personal trainer I always find that for many, even for me, it is hard to stay constantly focused and motivated to exercise, and from time to time I get those monthly exercise breaks. Despite the memory of how good it feels to finish the run, get out of the hot yoga class, or crush one of the CrossFit workouts, I cannot seems to find motivation and energy to start moving. And so I raise the question – what motivates us and how to stick with the exercise.
Most of the studies report the mood-boosting, anxiety-reducing, stress-buffering and esteem-generating benefits of physical activity – it seems to be enough to keep us going and coming back.. We find millions excuses – lack of time, lack of energy, too far, too expensive, to name a few.
Here’s my proposal – list down all the excuses you have, highlight the real reason that holds you back, and deal with it. How does it sound? Post the comment of your action plan!
